A Message From Hermana Scanlon

So, Hermana Scanlon sent me my very own email this week (hooray!) and she said that some of her faithful blog followers need some more information regarding sending letters and such.

The pouch mail system has very specific instructions on sending letters through them. They literally specify that you can only send a single piece of paper, written on only one side. If you have a lot to say, type the letter using small font, or just send a letter using the mission office address. It'll cost more than 44 cents, but you can send more that way. If you want to use pouch, fold the single piece of paper in thirds, tape it shut and address it like an envelope. (Don't forget the 44 cent stamp). It's not super private so, I guess, just don't write anything too personal! If you have other questions about it, leave a comment or email me at cscanlon20@gmail.com.

I plan to print this blog into a book when she gets home so any comments you want to leave are welcome and they'll be part of her memory book. Just think, you'll get points by leaving comments if you aren't so good at writing letters to her! Then she'll know that you were supportive even though you may not be able to write her much.

She also wanted me to thank you for letters and she is trying to respond to all of them. Please know that her time is very limited and P-days just fly by. Some of you have asked to send stuff and wanted to know what would be most helpful/fun for her to receive. She doesn't have ready access to LDS.org and would love print-outs of Conference talks. So if there's one that you especially like or you think would be good for her to study, please send it to her. She has a CD player, so any Church music (especially in Spanish) would be awesome. She also loves getting photos. It's hard/expensive for her to print any in Argentina, and she would love to see what's going on in your lives.

Thank you for loving and supporting Hermana Scanlon!
